Project Runway Guest at Form + Fashion Event

Becky Ross, Project Runway Season 9 will be joining our line-up of special guests at our annual showcase “Form + Fashion” event on May 16th at ICON Events Center. Becky is a native of Portland, Oregon, she joins other successful PR participants from the Northwest including winners from past seasons; Leanne Marshall and Gretchen Jones both from Portland and Seth Aaron Henderson from Vancouver.

IDTSD Creative Director Anita Kealey showed with Ross at FASHIONxt in Portland last fall.  Kealey will open the F+F event with her LENZANITA Spring/Summer 2013 collection as the IDTSD interior & fashion students will debut their runway collections and our special guests will close the show with an exciting finale.

Project Runway Finalist to appear At IDTSD Form + Fashion Event

Laura Kathleen Planck, Project Runway finalist from Season 9 and recent PR All Star Season 2 will be appearing at our annual showcase “Form + Fashion” event on May 16^th at ICON Events Center.  Her collections have been seen at on the runway at Mercedes Benz Fashion week and will close our event with an exciting finale.  Plan to attend our May 17^th Luncheon and meet Laura Kathleen. You will have the opportunity to view her trunk showing or even purchase an “iconic” piece from the Laura Kathleen jewelry line (see deco cuff bracelet).

Despite the frigid temperatures, our interior students had successful day attending seminars and gathering materials for our portfolio project at the International Market Square in Minneapolis.

Interior Furnishings Study Tour

January was a great time to take a break to attend a major design marker in a warmer climate, while our state was experiencing record below zero temperatures. Along with experiencing cutting edge interior furnishings at the World Market Center, we had the opportunity to many attend seminars & presentations from leading   designers, staging stylists and trend forecasters.

Among some those design leaders and Icons we met were Alexa Hampton, President & Designer of Mark Hampton; and Christina Lemieux, DwellStudio Founder & Creative Director (as seen in photo with our group).
